I LOVE live music. Even more when I can sit up close, surrounded by incredible art exhibits like at the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach. If you have a ticket to the Pageant (even if it is in August), you can get in free all summer long.

This bronze, wood and steel piece from Andrew Myers is called "Life's Deconstruction Phase #5". Go to The Festival of the Arts in Laguna Beach to see this and so many other talented artists' works. While you are there, have a cocktail, make your own art at the craft zone, and listen to world class live music.
Add the 4th of July parade and paddle out to the list of fun activities organized by the Brooks St. locals. This paddle out is for a former resident who died in Iraq. Fourth of July + Halloween + the annual surf contest = a happening street!
If you want to see what a Laguna Beach master glass artist can do, go to the foyer of seven-degrees in the Canyon to feast your eyes on "Feeding Frenzy". John Barber created this 22' floor to ceiling sculpture giving you the impression of being under water looking up to see the light flickering from the sky above. If this piece is too big to fit in your house, you can go to John's booth at The Sawdust Art Festival and buy something a little smaller.
Last night I went to the Preview Night for the 2013 Sawdust Art Festival. It was so fun to talk with all the creative artists and see their amazing work. The live music was happening and the food delish! Check out this fun youtube about the Sawdust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyRdrZTeu1c
Needing some coffee and pastries while watching the Brooks St. surfing contest, I ventured into Laguna Coffee Co. Saturday morning jazz!!! The place was packed inside and out! Check out their Facebook page for some fun pictures.
